Which registry credits this portfolio highest
Every sample scored under all seven standards, summed. The leader is the standard that would credit the most CO₂ today — not advice on which to enrol in.
Gross figures only. No deduction has been made for sample variance, buffer pools, leakage, verification, or any registry’s own eligibility rules. Enrolment decisions need the full methodology, not this table.
CO2 removal by sample
Each sample under all seven standards, so you can see which batches are consistent and which swing depending on the registry.

Fusinite calculations provide comparative estimates of Gross Permanent CO₂ Stored using user-supplied data and selected published methodology equations. Published model-based factors, limits and conservative adjustments expressly applied within these calculations remain included. Unless expressly shown, results exclude additional deductions or withholdings for sample and batch variance, standard deviation, measurement uncertainty, buffers, lifecycle and project emissions, leakage, reversal risk, validation, verification and other registry or methodology requirements. The displayed highest gross estimate identifies only the methodology or methodologies producing the largest calculated gross result, including results within 1% of the highest value. It is not a registry recommendation or endorsement and does not assess project eligibility, methodology compliance, environmental integrity, commercial suitability, market acceptance or the likelihood of credit issuance. Results are provided for informational and comparative purposes only. They do not represent verified or issuable carbon credits, certification, verification, legal or financial advice, or a guarantee of issuance, acceptance or value. Fusinite is not a carbon registry or Validation and Verification Body. Users must confirm eligibility, required deductions and final credit issuance with the applicable methodology owner, registry and Validation and Verification Body.
Methodological basis and limitations
Methodological basis and limitations, versions checked 5 August 2026. Gross permanent CO₂ storage is estimated as dry biochar mass × organic carbon fraction × the applicable methodology-specific permanence or persistence factor × 44/12. Isometric Biochar Storage in Soil Environments v1.2 applies either its 200-year H/Corg and soil-temperature decay model, capped at 95%, or its 1,000-year random-reflectance and non-reactive-carbon pathway. This calculator uses the supplied gross inert fraction and does not apply Isometric’s required one-standard-deviation deductions. Rainbow Biochar Application to Soils v2.3 applies a temperature-banded H/Corg model for 100-year storage and the fraction of residual organic carbon with Ro ≥2% for 1,000-year storage. Puro.earth Biochar Methodology, Edition 2025 v2, applies its CORC200+ persistence model using H/Corg and regional soil temperature. Global Biochar C-Sink Standard v3.3 assigns a 75% geologically persistent carbon fraction to qualifying biochar with H/Corg ≤0.40 and 90% only when all upper-class analytical and representativeness requirements, including Ro ≥3.8% and/or HyPy-resistant carbon ≥90%, are satisfied. Verra VM0044 v1.2 applies a 100-year persistence factor based primarily on production temperature, subject to H/Corg and other methodology requirements. Results are comparative gross estimates based on entered values and selected published permanence equations. Unless expressly shown, they exclude sample variance, standard-deviation deductions, analytical and methodological uncertainty, conservative adjustments, buffers, reversal risk, project and lifecycle emissions, leakage, baseline and additionality requirements, eligible feedstock and end-use restrictions, sampling and batch-representativeness requirements, monitoring, verification and registry-specific deductions or withholdings. Results do not represent issued credits, certification, verification, legal or financial advice, or a guarantee of registry acceptance. Any displayed recommendation identifies only the highest calculated gross storage result, including methods within the stated 1% comparison range, and does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of any registry. Final eligibility and credit issuance must be confirmed with the applicable methodology owner, registry and validation or verification body.

Figures here are comparative gross estimates. They exclude sample variance, standard-deviation deductions, uncertainty, buffers, reversal risk, lifecycle and project emissions, leakage, and registry-specific deductions. They are not issued credits, certification, verification, or legal or financial advice, and Fusinite is not a registry or Validation and Verification Body.
