Certification Statement

The designation “Inertinite Gold Certificate” indicates that >95% of the organic carbon in the analyzed biochar is classified as inertinite. Inertinite is the most stable form of organic carbon, comparable in resilience to inorganic minerals over geological timescales, ensuring long-term carbon storage (1).

Disclaimer

  • Certification is valid for three (3) months from the submission date.
  • These findings apply only to the submitted sample(s), as provided by the Client or a designated third party. Fusinite Ltd assumes no responsibility for the declared origin or representativity of the material.
  • The values reported in this certificate do not account for batch or production variability. Assessment of such variability requires systematic sampling and analysis over a defined period.
  • Reanalysis is required if there are any changes in feedstock or processing conditions.
  • Analytical uncertainty is typically ±5%. For conservative carbon crediting, the lower bound of the confidence interval is recommended.
  • Carbon and hydrogen contents were analyzed according to ISO 29541:2010. The Inertinite Benchmarking (IBRo2) includes Random Reflectance Analysis (Ro), following Sanei et al. (2024), the ITPE Procedure, and ISO 7404-5:2009, together with reactive organic carbon and mineral carbon analysis using the Rock-Eval 6 method.
