Biochar Sample Shipping Guidelines

At Fusinite, we ensure accurate and efficient biochar analysis by providing clear shipping instructions. Please follow these steps carefully.

Order and Payment Process

  1. Place Your Order: Complete your order and payment on our website.
  2. Receive Shipping Materials: After payment confirmation, you will receive:
    • A unique sample ID (AAxxxxxx) for each biochar sample.
    • A DHL-generated shipping label for returning your samples.
These details can also be accessed through the Order Information portal on your dashboard. Shipping labels are typically available within 2 business days of order confirmation.

Sample Preparation

  • Weight: Send 200g of bulk material representative of each biochar sample.
    • Samples less than 200g may compromise analysis accuracy.
    • Samples exceeding 250g may incur additional fees.
  • Packaging: Use a resealable zip-lock bag no larger than 15x15 cm and at least 4 mil thick.
    • Ensure the sample is powdered or crushed, and compress the bag to remove excess air and compact the material as much as possible.
    • Securely seal the bag.
  • Labeling: Clearly label each bag with the Fusinite-generated sample ID (AAxxxxxx) using a printed label or a permanent marker in a clear, legible font.
  • Boxing: Place the labeled bags in a snug-fitting box to minimize shipping costs.

Shipping Instructions

  1. Include Order Form: Print the sample order form and place it inside the box with the samples.
  2. Attach Shipping Label: Print and attach the DHL shipping label securely to the package.

    • Arrange a collection at your address using DHL Home Collection.
      To arrange a collection with DHL;
      1. Go to the DHL pickup scheduling page and select "No" when asked, "Do you need to create a shipping label?".
      2. Then from the drop down list choose "I have a DHL Waybill Number".
      3. Enter the 10-digit Waybill number printed on your shipping label.
      4. Use the details from your printed shipping label, including the shipment's weight and price, to complete the scheduling process.
      5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finalize and confirm the pickup request, ensuring all information is accurate before submission.
Please note that depends on the region you connect from to the DHL portal and the type of device you use, you may experience different workflow but they should all follow a same logic. Please get in touch if you need further information.

    Shipping Costs

    • The shipping fee at checkout assumes a maximum sample weight of 250g and packaging volume not exceeding 1200 cm³ (approximately a cube with each side not exceeding 10 cm) per sample.
    • If weight or volume exceeds these limits, additional fees may apply.
    • Final shipping costs may vary based on DHL’s weight and volume assessment. Any additional charges for excess weight, oversized packaging, or improper preparation will be passed to the client.

    Customs Clearance

    • DHL shipping labels include all necessary customs information to prevent delays.
    • Ensure your package is properly labeled and documented. Fusinite is not responsible for delays caused by improper preparation.
