Insight into porosity and internal surface development

Optional Add-on 1 provides Specific Surface Area analysis for biochar and biocarbon materials. It is designed to assess internal surface development, porosity, and potential performance in applications where surface area controls reactivity, adsorption, water retention, and material behaviour.

Specific Surface Area is especially useful for biochar intended for filtration, adsorption, soil improvement, environmental remediation, construction materials, and advanced engineered applications.

This add-on by itself provides surface area data only. It does not provide Fusinite material verification, Fusinite Lens interpretive reporting, or a complete carbon permanence assessment.

Included analyses

  • Specific Surface Area, m2 g-1

What you receive

  • Specific Surface Area value
  • Insight into pore development and internal surface structure
  • Data for adsorption and filtration suitability
  • Support for product comparison and material specification
  • Guidance on whether surface area supports the intended application

Best suited for

  • Biochar producers optimizing porosity
  • Adsorption and filtration applications
  • Soil and water retention studies
  • Environmental remediation
  • Construction and engineered materials
  • Research and development

Important

  • Specific Surface Area provides porosity-related material data, but it does not verify whether the material is genuine biocarbon and does not provide full Fusinite Lens reporting by itself.
  • To also receive Fusinite Verified material verification and the full Fusinite Lens interpretive report, select Package A + Package B.
  • For the fastest route to receive Fusinite Verified material verification, the full Fusinite Lens interpretive report, and a complete carbon permanence assessment, select Inertinite Benchmarking.
